Smokey The Pear on Holiday

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ ounce Osadia Reposado Tequila 
  • 1 ounce St. George spiced pear liqueur 
  • 1 ounce lemon juice 
  • ¾ ounce bottled gum syrup 
  • 1 egg white 
  • 1 ounce pinot noir
  • Jarred clove powder
  • Jarred ground cinnamon
  • Rosemary sprig, lightly toasted 
  • (optional garnish)

Directions:

To a shaker tin, add the tequila, spiced pear liqueur, lemon juice, gum syrup, egg white, a pinch of clove powder and three pinches of cinnamon. Shake vigorously for approximately 10 seconds. To the tin, add enough ice to fill a rocks-style glass; cover and shake vigorously for an additional 10 seconds. Strain the cocktail into the glass containing ice. Gently pour into the glass the pinot noir as a float on the top layer of the drink. If desired, garnish with a rosemary sprig. Serve.
