City Modifying Facility Hours, Programs Due To Surge in CasesAug 27, 2021 ● By FriscoSTYLE
The City of Frisco announced Aug. 25 it is modifying hours for some of its facilities as well as children’s programs due to the region’s recent surge in COVID-19 cases.
The Frisco Water Park at Frisco Athletic Center, 5828 Nancy Jane Lane, is officially closed for the season with the exception of the Paws In The Pool event scheduled Sept. 18. Also, the athletic center’s Play Depot childcare facility is closed until further notice beginning Aug. 27.
Effective immediately, the Ready to Read Railroad “edutainment” amusement at Frisco Public Library, 6101 Frisco Square Blvd., is closed, also until further notice. Meanwhile, the library’s story time sessions will move outside for “Story Time on the Square.” Storytellers will set up north of the building in Simpson Plaza. Dates, times and capacities for the program remain that same and, in the event of inclement weather, the programs will be canceled.
