Barbecue Sauces

INGREDIENTS
Jalapeño Peach Barbecue Sauce
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 1 1/2 lbs peaches (pitted, peeled & chopped)
- 1/2 chopped onion
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp molasses
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp mustard powder
- 4 chopped jalapeños (seeded)
Tangy Blueberry Barbecue Sauce
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 diced onion
- 3 garlic cloves (minced)
- 3 1/2 cups blueberries
- 1 Tbsp ginger (grated)
- 3 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup apple juice
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey
- 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp chipotle powder
- 1 Tbsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
Cherry Barbecue Sauce
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 diced onion
- 3 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1/4 cup bourbon
- 1 1/2 cups ketchup
- 1 Tbsp mustard
- 2/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/3 tsp red pepper flakes (crushed)
- salt and pepper
- 3 cups cherries (pitted and halved)
INSTRUCTIONS
Jalapeño Peach Barbecue Sauce
- Melt the butter in a saucepan then add the onion. Heat the mixture for about five minutes then stir in your garlic and cook for about one more minute.
- Add the rest of your ingredients (except the jalapenos) to the pan. Bring the mixture to boil and let it simmer for about 30 minutes.
- Add the jalapenos and let the mixture simmer for about 20 minutes.
- Once the sauce has cooled, blend it in a blender until it is smooth.
Tangy Blueberry Barbecue Sauce
- Heat your olive oil in a saucepan. Add the onion and garlic and cook over medium low heat.
- Add the other ingredients and simmer the mixture over heat for about 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- After the sauce cools, blend the mixture in the blender until smooth.
Cherry Barbecue Sauce
- Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan. Add the onion and cook until softened.
- Add the garlic and cook for about 30 seconds. Add the bourbon, ketchup, mustard, brown sugar, cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, crushed red pepper flakes and salt and pepper.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer and add the cherries. Cook the sauce for about five minutes.
- Use a blender to puree the sauce until it is smooth.
