His job is not considered ordinary. “I walk into a plethora of Deep Ellum beer every day. That really sums it up!” he shares. Mr. Fickey says the key to being successful when working for a craft brewery is to know and understand what they are brewing. Mr. Fickey travels to meet other individuals involved in the craft beer movement and even goes overseas to pick up brewing equipment and attend international brew festivals. “The rapid growth in the industry makes this job and lifestyle very exciting,” he says.
