Summer Fun in Frisco!

School is almost out! Parents around Frisco are undoubtedly looking for activities to keep their families busy and entertained. While families can visit the Third Sunday Open House at the Heritage Center as many times as they would like, for free, our city has a number of additional fun, outdoor events for families with kids of all ages.

Who does not want to save a few dollars and check out free attractions this summer? Every Saturday, socialize with other locals and purchase fresh produce at the Frisco Rotary Farmers Market, located on 4th Street in historic downtown Frisco. Even the kids will enjoy picking out the best foods for your table! You can check out details about the market at www.friscorotaryfarmersmarket.com. For families that love to spend time outdoors, underneath the bright Texas stars, consider Frisco Starfest at Frisco Commons Park. On the second Saturday of every month, you can attend a Star Party, complete with giant telescopes and educational discussions. You can learn more about this monthly event at www.texasastro.com. The Frisco Public Library also hosts countless events, including different book clubs, author events and story time. You can view their online calendar at www.friscolibrary.com.

Other exciting summer activities taking place in Frisco include Dive-In Movies at the Frisco Waterpark (throughout the summer), ParkaPalooza at Warren Sports Complex in June and Frisco Freedom Fest in July! You can learn more about each of these upcoming events at www.friscofun.org.

Enjoy your summer!
