Exposure to the Arts
By AJ Addae

The Frisco ISD Fine Arts Department has nowhere to go but up. From art shows to stellar theatre productions, the school district possesses the most integral qualities necessary in cultivating a love for art.
The philosophy of the program is to “provide equally exceptional educational opportunities across all disciplines.” This particular component of the program’s philosophy manifests in the fact that a vast array of opportunities are offered to each student, regardless of their level of education. From opportunities at the elementary level, such as All-City Choir and district-wide art shows, to opportunities at the secondary level, such as theatre arts and color guard, no single student falls through the cracks in receiving exposure to arts education.
Additionally, students are taught by educators who exceed expectations in providing a fine arts education that surpasses satisfactory levels. Each educator is selected so students will collect multitudes of lessons that continue with them as they grow into their future careers.
The FISD Fine Arts Department presented prepared UIL competition music provided by each middle and high school band throughout March and there will be drill team showcases throughout April. As the school year wraps up, it is guaranteed that work from each campus will provide a memorable spectacle for audiences to enjoy and cherish for a lifetime.
