Place the cranberries in a bowl. Heat the syrup in a sauce pan until it is warm. Pour this over the cranberries. Let them cool. Cover the berries and let them soak in the refrigerator overnight. Drain the cranberries in a colander. Place your sugar in a bowl. Add the cranberries and roll them around until they are coated. Place them on a baking sheet to dry. Add a slice of brie on the crackers. Add a layer of cranberry chutney, then cranberries and top the cracker bites with mint garnish.
