PARKWOOD BOULEVARD CLOSED NIGHTLY AT SH 121 MAY 31 - JUNE 19

(May 27, 2011) All lanes of Parkwood Boulevard will be closed underneath the Sam Rayburn Tollway each night starting Tuesday, May 31, and continuing through June 19.  The road will close at 9:00 p.m. each night and will reopen by 5:00 a.m. the following morning.

During these closures, traffic on northbound Parkwood Boulevard will be diverted onto the northeast-bound SH 121 frontage road to Preston Road where they can continue their journey north or can u-turn back to Parkwood.  Southbound traffic on Parkwood Boulevard will be diverted onto the southwest-bound SH 121 frontage road to Dallas Parkway where they can continue their journey south or can u-turn back to Parkwood.  Detour signs will be posted.

These road closures are part of NTTA’s interchange construction project.  Motorists are urged to use caution in the construction zone and to choose an alternate route in advance.

 

NEW SECTION OF STONEBROOK PARKWAY OPENING BETWEEN FM 423 AND TEEL PARKWAY ON TUESDAY, MAY 31

(May 27, 2011) A new section of Stonebrook Parkway between FM 423 and Teel Parkway will open to traffic on Tuesday afternoon, May 31.  At the same time, the new traffic signal on Teel Parkway at Stonebrook Parkway will become fully operational.  This section of roadway will create a new continuous east-west route between FM 423 and Legacy Drive.

Due to the construction project on FM 423, all traffic on the new section of Stonebrook Parkway will be shifted into the north half of the roadway as it crosses FM 423.

Motorists are urged to use caution in the area as people become accustomed to the new traffic patterns at the intersections of FM 423 & Stonebrook Parkway and Teel Parkway & Stonebrook Parkway.
